With 22,065 new COVID-19 cases, India's tally reaches 99,06,165

India’s total COVID-19 tally reached 99,06,165, with 22,065 new infections and 354 new deaths in the last 24 hours, according to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW) on Tuesday (December 15).

The death toll due to Coronavirus in the nation mounted to 1,43,709, with 354 new deaths reported in the last 24 hours.

The number of active cases in the nation currently stands on 3,39,820. Meanwhile, with the discharges of 34,477 patients in the last 24 hours, the total discharged cases reached 94,22,636.

Meanwhile, Maharashtra remains to be the worst affected state due to the COVID-19 pandemic with 73,481 active cases, closely followed by Kerala with 57,790 active cases.

The Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) on December 15 revealed that a total of 15,55,60,655 samples tested for the coronavirus up to December 14. Of these, 9,93,665 samples were tested on December 14.
