Donald Trump said that White House staffers should not be among the first people in the country to get the COVID vaccine unless it is a case of necessity. He also said he is not scheduled to get the vaccine and will look to take it later.

Pfizer Biotech has been approved for emergency use by the US Food and Drug Administration)FDA) for people above 16 years of age after the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention(CDC) Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices’ approved its use.
The FDA has not approved or licensed the vaccine for mass immunisation drive.

National Security Council spokesman John Ullyot issued a statement earlier in the day that senior officials across the legislative, executive, and judicial branches of the government will receive the vaccination in the first immunisation drive.
General Gustave Perna, chief operating officer of Operation Warp Speed said that the first batch of vaccines will be delivered to the states by Monday. Operation Warp Speed is a US government partnership with private vaccine developers for the distribution of the COVID vaccine.
The US continues to be the worst affected country as cases crossed 16 million cases and have reported more than 300,000 deaths.
