The panel had four prominent industrialists who brought fore the impact that COVID-19 had on ‘modern India’. TV Mohandas Pai, Chairman of Manipal Global Education (Manipal University), Dr RS Sodhi, Managing Director of Gujarat Co-operative Milk Marketing Federation Limited (AMUL), Vijay Govardhandas Kalantri Chairman and Managing Director of Balaji Infra Projects Limited and Dighi Port Limited, and Anant Singhania, CEO of JK Enterprises discussed how COVID changed the definition of ‘normal’ for industries across India.

The panel maintained that the economic activities have yet to pick up and business activities are still dampened by the migrant outflow forced by lockdown from nearly all major cities. The businessmen discussed the effect the anti-COVID vaccine will have on the Indian businesses and expressed optimism that the conditions will improve in the near future.
