In a special session, India Ahead had the opportunity to talk with Union Minister Nitin Gadkari where he discussed the Covid pandemic while farmers are protesting near Delhi borders since November 26.
Union Minister Nitin Gadkari spoke with Bhupendra Chaubey, Editor-in-Chief of India Ahead, on various issues ranging from new farm laws, farmers protest around Delhi, India’s economic recovery, government’s preparedness for COVID-19, and its vaccine. Nitin Gadkari revealed and explained the strategy adopted by the Narendra Modi government to deal with the issues facing the country.

Union Minister Gadkari expressed his concern for hundreds of farmers who have been protesting near the Delhi borders despite low temperatures. He explained how the new farm laws will help the farmers earn more. He added that after the new laws are enacted, the farmers will be able to decide the price at which they want to sell their produce. He underlined the need to weed out the middlemen in the farm-to-table supply chain. He expressed his optimism on vaccine development in the country.
The country has a history of overcoming disasters and Gadkari added that “We shall overcome” this too.
