WATCH COVID-19 E-Conclave: All Women IPS Panel Speaks About Fighting Pandemic
In this session of the COVID-19 E-Conclave, India Ahead’s Palak Sharma discussed how the civil society in the country became a pillar of strength in the time of the pandemic. She talked to a panel of all women IPS officers who discussed about how police helped the district administration from feeding the hungry to supplementing the public health care system.

Dy Commissioner of Police, Law & Order Thiruvananthapuram. They discussed the challenges they faced while dealing with people’s panic and the urgent need for the public to stay indoors. The police officers added that despite lockdown, people have been very cooperative with the police. They discussed the supply chain management, the police had to oversee in order to keep the public calm and avoid hoarding of essential items.
Dr Divya V Gopinath talked about Kerala, a model state in dealing with Covid, which later saw a spurt of cases and how the state reacted to the situation. She talked about the cluster of Covid cases in the coastal areas and how the containment zones in order to contain the spread helped the state in the long run.
