US Capitol Violence: Resolution to use 25th Amendment to Oust Trump advances Despite Pence opposition

Washington DC: A resolution to urge US Vice President Mike Pence to invoke the 25th Amendment to oust President Donald Trump advances in the House, according to a Reuters report.

The move comes after US Vice President Mike Pence wrote to the House of Representatives Speaker Nancy Pelosi that he is opposed to invoking the 25th Amendment to remove President Donald Trump from office just 8 days before his presidential term ends on January 20.

After violent clashes on January 6, Democrats have since mobilized action against Donald Trump. If passed, the resolution to invoke the 25th Amendment would declare Trump unable to fulfill his duties as the current President of the USA.
