Spinner Ravichandran Ashwin is widely renowned for his witty social media remarks amongst fans and the veteran Team India cricketer celebrated his side’s monumental win over Australia in the fourth Test at The Gabba on Sunday (January 19) with an epic post.
After the match, Ashwin took to Twitter and said that he is glad to have been part of such a high-quality cricket match during these testing times, while also tagging the Australian skipper Tim Paine and Cricket Australia in it.
“Good evening from Gabba!! I am sorry I couldn’t play here but thanks for hosting us and playing some hard cricket during these tough times. We will remember this series forever! @tdpaine36 @CricketAus,” Ashwin wrote on Twitter.

With this victory, visitors also retained the Border-Gavaskar Trophy and won the four-match Test series 2–1.
What is more special about this win at The Gabba is that, last time a visiting team managed to win at the Brisbane Cricket Ground was back in November 1988, when West India under the captaincy of Sir Viv Richards thrashed Allan Border’s Australia by 9 wickets.
