ISRO's PSLV-C49 Carrying 10 Satellites Successfully Launched

New Delhi , November 7: The launch of India’s Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle PSLV-C49 which is carrying the all-weather earth imaging satellite EOS and 9 other international satellites has been successful.

PSLV-C49 was launched from Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO)’s Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Sriharikota on Saturday afternoon. The time for the launch was 1502 hrs IST today, according to ISRO.

“India’s Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle in its 51st mission (PSLV-C49) will launch EOS-01 as primary satellite along with nine international customer satellites from Satish Dhawan Space Centre (SDSC) SHAR, Sriharikota. The launch is tentatively scheduled at 1502 Hrs IST on November 7, 2020, subject to weather conditions,” the space agency said earlier.

This launch is the first space mission for the Indian space agency in 2020.

The launch vehicle which is carrying 9 foreign satellites which are from Lithuania (1- technology demonstrator), Unites States of America (4 Lemur multi-mission remote sensing satellites) and Luxembourg ( 4 maritime application satellites from Kleos Space).
