Haryana To Reopen Schools for Classes 10, 12 From Dec 14

New Delhi: Haryana government has announced to reopen schools from next week from Dec 14.

In Haryana, physical classes for Class X and XII would be held for three hours from 10 am to 1 pm, in the schools.

“It has been decided that students of Classes 10 and 12 will be allowed to attend their Government or Private schools from December 14 for three hours daily — between 10 AM to 1 PM,” the Directorate School Education of Haryana Government said in a note.

It is compulsory for the students to carry covid test results which should not be older than 72 hours, before attending the classes.

According to the state government announcement, the classes for ninth and eleventh standards will be held from December 21.

The Haryana government in its circular added that prior health check-ups will be mandatory for students who will attend their schools. They will be required to carry letters certifying that they don’t have COVID-19 symptoms before entering the school premises.

The District administrations are ordered to provide free medical check-ups for students.

Following Covid protocols, the temperature of those entering schools, which includes staff members and teachers will be checked daily. Those running a fever will be denied entry, the government added in its note.

Haryana has recorded 1,400 new cases and 26 deaths on Wednesday (December 9) which took the state’s covid count to 2,48,079 cases and 2,650 deaths.
