COVID-19 Update: Telangana Reports 316 New Cases, 2 Fatalities

Hyderabad: Telangana has recorded a total of 316 new COVID-19 cases within the state while the number of discharges is almost double the number of infections and stands at 612, on Monday.

According to the State Health Department, two people have lost their lives in Telangana on Sunday.

According to the state Health Department, the total count of coronavirus cases in the state increased to 2,81,730 including 2,73,625 discharges. The active cases currently stand at 6,590 and 1,515 deaths have been reported in Telangana till Sunday

The case fatality rate in the state is 0.53 percent while the recovery rate is 97.12 percent.

According to the state government, Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation recorded the maximum number of cases ie 86, followed by Medchal Malkajigiri with 22 new cases while Karimnagar and Warangal urban districts come third with 18 cases each on Monday.

The state conducted 32,714 tests pushing the cumulative number to 64,75,766 till Sunday.

On the other hand, with 24,337 new COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours, India’s COVID-19 count has reached 1,00,55,560 cases, said the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MOHFW) on Monday.

According to the Union Health Ministry, there are 3,03,639 active cases in the country and so far 1,45,810 people have died.

Besides, as many as 96,06,111 cases have been cured/discharged/migrated.
