France Football has finally announced the much-anticipated Ballon d’Or Dream 11 side, which included the likes of Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo, Pele, Diego Maradona and many more.

According to Goal.com’s reports, 140 journalists got together to pick the final XI and in the list, non-European players who were not eligible from 1956 to 1994 were included, which allowing the panel to vote for Pele or Maradona.

The Ballon d’Or Dream Team

Lev Yachine (goalkeeper), Cafu, Paolo Maldini, Franz Beckenbauer, Lothar Matthaus, Xavi, Pele, Diego Maradona, Cristiano Ronaldo, Lionel Messi and Ronaldo.

The backline of the Ballon d’Or Dream 11 side consists of Germany’s Franz Beckenbauer, Brazil’s Cafu, and Italy’s Paolo Maldini with Russia’s Lev Yachine in between the sticks.

Meanwhile, Spain’s Xavi Hernandez also found his place in the team as the best midfielder in the history of the sport.

The former Barcelona playmaker had won a FIFA World Cup and two Euro Cups with Spain.

However, things get tastier in the attacking midfielder department with Pele and Maradona begin named to take up the said positions. Maradona, who recently passed away, won the FIFA World Cup in 1989 with Argentina. Whereas Pele won it in 1958, 1962, and 1970 with Brazil.

Finally, the front three of this star-studded side includes the likes of Argentina’s Messi, Portugal’s Ronaldo, and Brazil’s playmaker Ronaldo — arguably three of the deadliest finishers that the footballing world has ever seen.
