4,470 new COVID-19 cases, 26 fatalities in last 24 hours

Thiruvananthapuram (Kerala): With 4,470 new COVID-19 cases and 4,847 recoveries in Kerala on Thursday, the total number of active cases in the state has reached to 59,517, as per the state health department.

There have been 26 fatalities in the last 24 hours. The current death toll stands at 2,533.

As many as 52,769 samples were tested in the last 24 hours and the test positivity rate is 8.47 per cent. So far, a total of 68,08,399 samples have been sent for testing.

The total number of recoveries now stands at 5,91,845. Two more places were declared hotspots on Friday, December 11. With this, the total number of coronavirus hotspots in the state stands at 441.
